Children and Youth Arts Workshops

Arts Education – Specializing in Textile Arts

People have been using Art and Craft over centuries as a career, to protest, comfort, heal, teach, support, clothe, keep records, hide messages, claim their voices and tell their stories. These skills cannot be lost or forgotten, because it is part of our history and is interwoven and ingrained in our culture and as a Textile Artist, it is my passion and purpose to keep them alive.

I also teach other Arts-based classes that have been developed to ignite and explore creativity with a non-traditional approach.

Here is just a sample of my Children and Youth Arts Workshops I have developed and teach at after-school programs, yearly festivals, for school boards as a visiting artist, in private homeschooling programs and in alternative schools. I adapt my lessons by age group/grade/skill level and all of my workshops can be developed for a one-time visit or for multi-week classes. I’d be happy to work with you in designing a curriculum around you and your student’s needs!
