Laura Daub Private and Semi-Private Children’s Art Classes
As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life. ~ John Lubbock
My Private and Semi-Private Lessons are all structured into age-appropriate 6 or 8-week courses and students and parents are provided with a course outline on the content and instruction of the lessons and the materials used, interesting facts, links to further information on the subject as well as suggested art materials for further exploration if students are interested.
My pricing for my classes is as follows for the 8 week courses:
Semi-private - $24 per hour - 1.5 hours each lesson * 8 weeks = $288 per person - tax included
Private - $30 per hour - 1.5 hours each lesson * 8 weeks = $360 per person - tax included
Each lesson is 1.5 hours in length and the course fee must be paid in full, on the first class. If you would like to make alternate payment arrangements (2 payments - one due on the first class, the balance on the fourth class), it must be agreed upon prior to the first class. All courses can start at any time throughout the year and I am happy to work out a convenient schedule (usually once-a-week) with you in advance. Lessons that are missed cannot be refunded or postponed if they were not in the original agreed upon schedule.

Painting with Acrylics and Watercolours!
In this 8-week painting class, students learn to reproduce three famous paintings (like the reproduction of Van Gogh’s Starry Night above done in 2 classes!) and in the final two classes, produce their own masterpiece of their choice in either acrylics or watercolours, whatever their preference! Students will sketch out their paintings on canvas or watercolour paper, then learn the techniques that might have been done in the original paintings by step-by-step instruction.
